When Tryst approached me to do this interview, I told them I really wanted to focus on the reality of sex work. I find there is too much sensationalism focused on the glam of the top 0.01% of content créateurs (no, my darling, I can’t teach you to make a million with foot pics). Nor the poverty porn of underprivileged people struggling in a cruel world. Nor the completely fictional world that sounds something like “I was born dominant. I am a female supremisist. Even my diapers were leather.” Bla bla bla.
Reality lies somewhere in the murky middle of all of that. My goal was to ground people’s ideas of domination and sex work. I think that the more civilians see us as real people, the better. My story is less “born a goddess” than a shy, nerdy, and broke law student who discovered a love of domination. And then I lived happily ever after, with manservants tending to my every need.
No. Wait. Then the real work kicked in.
I mentioned my mentor, Simone Justice, and how lucky I was to find her. Even though I had read all the books and played in my personal life, it was something completely different to bring my skills to a truly professional level. No one is born with the knowledge of anatomy for impact play. No one has instincts on how to sterilize and care for BDSM toys and equipment.
Simone had to approve the mention, which she gladly did. I was at first confused about why Tryst needed her confirmation, since it was a positive reference. Then I remembered how many people claim training from famous dominas, even though they “learned their craft” from YouTube videos. There are even some, in my adopted home of Paris, who try to claim ties to Simone. Then it made sense.
But after a lot of work by the Tryst team, Simone, and me, I can now present the full Domina M interview.
