I love rope bondage and rope suspension, but it is often too time-consuming and possibly painful for my male subjects. Not a problem with several leather sit swings available on the market for quick and comfortable suspension bondage. I bought mine two years ago and thought I’d write a review on how I have experienced it so far.

Design

The harness style attracts attention, which says a lot in my well-equipped dungeon. It is not so familiar, except for the most experienced players. However, after a brief explanation, it is a relatively simple yet intriguing concept that resembles a parachute harness but in leather. It does not fully restrict the subject (though you can add elements that will). What it does do is open up access to the most sensitive parts of the subject’s body. Not just for bondage; it works for CBT and NT (especially with my talons), anal play, spanking, milking, etc.

Quality Durability

The leather is strong and will last for years. However, the rig is stiff and rigid right out of the box and needs some breaking in, like a new pair of shoes. Unfortunately, this leads to pinching and chaffing of exposed skin. I recommend the suspended subject wear boxers and a T-shirt initially or suffer with the marks if that is your thing. How long before the leather breaks in? Your mileage may vary, but with constant use, it took me a year before I was confident and not worrying about chaffing.

That may seem like a long time, but the leather holds firm on the strong rivets after many uses. I haven’t found any leather fatigue, even at the heavy pressure points.

Usability

Ideally, you have a wench with your suspension point to hoist the rig with the subject strapped in. There is nothing like the feeling during the transition to being airborne. Of course, this is impractical for almost everyone but reasonably easy to work around as long as you have a secure point, and that is all you need even if you are new to leather suspension bondage. If your subject is agile, he can climb into the leg straps and sit on the swing. Otherwise, buckle him in on a small step stool while he stands still. If you are like me, you can take sadistic pleasure from kicking said stool out from under him.

The hands and legs are free to move about while suspended. It’s up to you if and how you cuff them.

User Experience

Even if the suspended subject is not cuffed, it’s still a complete bondage experience into helplessness, floating above the ground. With the addition of some cuffs, floating can turn into flying. While the wide straps are more comfortable than rope and less likely to cut off blood flow, it is still the responsibility of the suspension bondage top to monitor the subject and pay particular attention if their hands are cuffed above their head.

I found most people drop easier into a subspace dream with this harness–in a matter of minutes rather than a half hour. It’s not something to keep someone in for more than an hour, though. Fortunately, it is just as easy to get someone out of the rig as to get them in. Be mindful of their legs falling asleep when they stand up, though.

Conclusion

I am more than pleased with this investment of a few hundred euros in my Paris dungeon. It works well with little fuss for simple leather suspension bondage.
